Representatives from Military Families United joined First Lady Michelle Obama for a Monther's Day Tea at the White House on May 6. The event was part of Joining Forces, a new initiative led by Mrs. Obama and Second Lady Dr. Jill Biden that "mobilizes all sectors of society to give our servicemembers and their families the opportunities and support they deserve."
At the invitation of the White House, Military Families United also attended the official introduction ceremony in the East Room on April 12. Joining Forces will focus on three main issues of importance to military families: employment, education and wellness. We were honored to be asked to be involved in the initiative and we hope to continue to team with the White House and other military friendly businesses, corporations and organizations to give back to those families who have sacrificed so much. We strongly support the Joining Forces motto, "Everyone Can Do Something." To learn more, visit the the Joining Forces website.
