WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Military Families United is unveiling the new and improved National Gold Star Family Registry. As the only comprehensive database and online monument of its kind, the National Gold Star Family Registry holds information on each of America’s fallen Heroes dating back to WWII. The new site has additional features for Gold Star families, integrated social media sharing capabilities, and learning tools for all Americans. The Registry ensures that the legacy of the brave men and women who have given their lives in defense of this Nation will live on forever.
“This new chapter for the National Gold Star Family Registry will enable the stories of these military Heroes to be shared with generations to come,” said Robert Jackson, Executive Director of Military Families United. “We must continue to remember the brave men and women who gave all for our nation. The Registry will honor their service and their sacrifice while continuing to support the family they have left behind,” added Jackson, a naval veteran.
For Gold Star families the new site and additional functionality creates a lasting monument to their loved ones. Said Military Families United Chairman and Gold Star father Robert Derga, “This Registry enables my family to share my son’s story with all Americans and ensures that he and those he served with are never forgotten.”
